Cricket session

This week we had a session with the cricket coaches. We had to hit three balls with our bat and run as fast as we could around the field. The rest of the class had to field, returning the ball to the cones. We had a lot of fun.

We have been learning to write instructions. We have looked at all the action verbs that start each instruction. 

The letter 'E'

Look what happens when 5 year olds get creative with magnets. They are seeing letters of the alphabet all around the room.

Today Yahya made this 'cat' using ice block sticks. He was very proud of this creative cat. Well done Yahya.

Mrs Rennie-Younger likes to grow poppies in her garden at home. She brought some to school for us to sketch. She put them into a rather ugly vase ( a clear plastic container!) so ...... we got to create our own pretty vase. Our work is now finished and up on display in our classroom😊 This is Lee's work before it was finished.

The Kapa Haka group

Each week I go and watch the Kapa Haka group at lunchtime. I like watching them sing and dance.
